Climax
In the Invisible Man, the narrator witnesses the murder of Clifton, an African American Individual shot and killed by police. As a result of witnessing the death of his companion, the narrator wanted to participate in the riot which was taking place for the injustice done to a friend. Likely shown in, “His bland manner and the knowledge that they had wasted time to see the truth released the anger within me.” (Ellison, Ch. 22)
